  • What's unique about WTM Connect Asia?

As well as the networking and business opportunities available through our unique 1:1 connect pod show experience, the three days of WTM Connect Asia is full of interactive events which allow you to meet your industry peers in a fun and unique setting.

At WTM Connect Asia we create a programme of events that provide a show experience like no other. Experience FAM trips, networking opportunities, pre-scheduled meetings and our Gala Dinners, connecting buyers and suppliers in an effective and enjoyable way.

See below for the 2017 programme.

    *Choice of FAM trips include:

Connect with Nature: Venture out of Georgetown and see a different side of Penang. On this tour you will enjoy a short boat trip to Penang National Park (also known as Taman Negara Pulau Pinang) where you will sure to be mesmerised by the picturesque scenery. Once there a guide will take you on a short trek through the forest, stop at the turtle sanctuary and provide a picnic on the beach. Note: This trip involves a 2 hour return coach ride to get to and from the National Park from the E&O Hotel.

Connect with Culture: Discover the true gems of Georgetown, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, on this classic walking tour. An experienced guide will take you through Georgetown’s narrow lanes, explaining the local history and culture, while stopping off at the top tourist attractions in the area. Highlights include Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Campbell Street Market, Little India and lunch at Loke Thye Kee Restaurant.

Connect with Food: Discover what Penang is most famous for and sample a variety of local cuisines, including Asam Laksa, Prawn noodles and Mamak Mee Goreng. This tour also includes a traditional cooking demonstration so you can try preparing a local dish back home. “A foodie’s dream-come-true in one of the World’s most profound food destinations”
